The Sister Cities International Young Artists and Authors Showcase encourages youth from around the globe to consider the honorable mission of Sister Cities International and express their interpretation of that mission through art and writing promoting peace through mutual respect, understanding, cooperation through one individual, one community at a time.
The local competition occurs each spring, usually in March. One piece of artwork and one essay is then submitted to Sister Cities International, where 10 finalists are chosen. From the 10 winning works, one artist and one author are chosen as overall winners.
